Coconut Oil Powdered Sugar Icing 🥥🍦

Classic buttercream-style frosting - 5 minutes!

Ingredients (Makes ~2 cups)



Ingredient Amount
Coconut Oil ½ cup (softened, not melted)
Powdered Sugar 2-3 cups (sifted)
Milk/Cream 2-4 Tbsp
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Salt ⅛ tsp (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat coconut oil until creamy (1 min with mixer)
  2. Add 1 cup powdered sugar → mix on low
  3. Gradually add remaining sugar (½ cup at a time)
  4. Add 2 Tbsp milk + vanilla → beat until smooth
  5. Adjust consistency:
    • Thicker: + more sugar
    • Thinner: + 1 Tbsp milk
  6. Beat 2 minutes = fluffy perfection!

Chocolate ¼ cup cocoa + ½ cup extra sugar
Maple 1 tsp maple extract
Lemon 1 Tbsp lemon juice + zest
Peanut Butter 2 Tbsp peanut butter

Consistency Guide



Use Liquid Amount
Spreadable 3-4 Tbsp milk
Pipeable 2 Tbsp milk
Glaze 5+ Tbsp milk

Storage

  • Fridge: 1 week
  • Freezer: 3 months

  • Soft coconut oil (not melted) = best texture
  • Sift powdered sugar = no lumps
